2019 RESULTS AVAILABLE HERE

The Dunstable Downs Challenge Events are held annually. The Half Marathon, 20 Mile and Marathon races all start at the same time from Creasey Park Community Football Centre in Dunstable. The routes take you on a scenic, rural trail run, across the stunning Dunstable Downs and surrounding areas. Run mainly on public footpaths and bridle ways with occasional sections on quiet country lanes, the course is a self-navigated route which you must familiarise yourself with beforehand – Maps & Instructions can be downloaded from here.

THIS EVENT IS NOW A CUP-FREE EVENT! You must bring your own cup or bottle to fill at our water stations. We recommend Decathlon Trail cups. Please note that if you have no cup, bottle or hydration pack, you won’t be allowed to race!

There are great facilities at our Race HQ including a secure baggage area, changing and shower facilities. We are unfortunately no longer able to offer free refreshments after the race, however there is a bar and fast-food facility at our HQ should you wish to purchase something.

All runners receive a medal tailored to the distance race they have completed and Marathon runners receive a FREE finishers t-shirt! There is an opportunity for Half Marathon and 20 Mile participants to purchase a finishers t-shirt when you sign up. There is a small selection of t-shirts available to purchase on the day. Any profits from this merchandise is donated to our 2022 club charity Prostate Cancer UK.

“It was my first marathon and I really enjoyed the effort which had gone into making it such a smooth running event and a relaxed atmosphere. Your friendly team of Marshall’s were a great help. I’ll be back for more next year!”

“I love the event! This is my third time doing the 20 mile route, which I think is simply stunningly beautiful. Looking forward to next year already!! Your club does a fantastic job of organising this multi-distance event. The support on route is wonderful, the whole vibe is just perfect!”
